Arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar, Bali. After the disembarkation formalities, our local representative will transfer you to your hotel and help you with the check in formalities. Once you are settled in your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to explore the sights and sounds of Bali at your leisure. Spend some time on Kuta or Legion beach. Walk along the picturesque main streets and sample cuisines from across the world. As the sun sets, head to one of the beach front parties or enjoy live music at any of the restaurants and pubs down Legion way. Overnight stay at Bali.
After breakfast on the second day, begin your Balinese adventure with a trip to scenic Ubud. Known as the home of Balinese dance and art form, Ubud is a scenic location, dotted with lush rice paddies and beautiful forests. Take the Balinese Village Cycling tour through the back roads of the famous Carang Sari village and experience the local life first-hand. Visit the Sangeh Monkey Forest, home to the Macaque monkeys and meet the cheeky inhabitants. The forest also boasts of 22 bird species, 5 mammal species, 3 types of reptiles and 2 types of Amphibians. The complex also boasts of the ancient Hindu temple, Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal, also known as the Great Temple of Death. The temple boasts of an exquisitely sculpted idol of Shiva and plays an important role in the spiritual life of the community. After your trip, head back to your hotel and relax. After breakfast at the hotel, explore the local sights and sounds. Enjoy a traditional Balinese massage on the beach or take a swim in the cool waters of the ocean. Lounge about at one of the shacks on the beach and pass the time with the locals. In the afternoon, the tour takes you to the Uluwatu Temple. Considered one of Bali’s nine key directional temples, the shrine was built in the 11th Century and remains a key spiritual location for the region. The temple itself is perched precariously on a steep cliff, 70 meters above the roaring waves of the Indian Ocean. While at the temple, meet the local, friendly monkeys who have mischievously learnt to pose for photographs with tourists, take in a performance of the world famous Kecak Dance, performed by 50 artistes. This dance form is unique as it only uses the vocal talents of the singers and no instruments. After having spent the day soaked in Balinese tradition and culture, come back to your hotel and relax. After breakfast at the hotel, the day is yours to relax or explore at your leisure. For those interested in water sports, the beaches of Bali offer surfing lessons and the option to rent surf boards and body boards. The coast of Tulamben boasts of a sunken warship from World War 2 and is considered one of the best diving sites in the world, while Amed and Nusa Penida have some of the most exotic underwater flora and fauna across Asia.
For the coffee lovers, take the day out to sample some Kopi Luwak, considered one of the world’s most expensive blends of coffee. Coffee plantations and preserves offer tasting tours which allows you to sample the best blends of the world famous Balinese coffee. Overnight stay at the hotel.
